About Us
Scott Family Childcare Learning Center is a professional home away from home childcare. Serving Long Beach, Lakewood and surrounding areas since 1990.
We are a full-day, child development program committed to providing children birth – five with exceptional quality care and education.
We believe that each child is a unique individual who deserves and needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment where activities are designed to guide their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development and are constructed for the child's age, interest, ability health, and safety. Where allowances are made, for individual differences that permit children to learn at their own rate and ability. Allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct their learning.
Our role as educators is to guide and support children through the learning process. As they construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and practice skills in ways that are meaningful to them.
Our overarching goal, is that the children develop a deep love and respect for themselves, others, their environment, and to instill in them a love of lifelong learning.
In our view, working with children and families provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth.
